Meet Doctor Garza

                                                                                                                           

                                                              

Dr. Alma Lee Garza is a native of Texas.  She was born in Ysleta but has lived in many cities, including, Laredo, Crystal City, Dallas, Austin and now San Antonio.  She is a Texas State Board Certified Family and Cosmetic Dentist.  She owns a small private practice serving the San Antonio Community and beyond.  Dr. Garza received a degree in Nursing in 1983, where she worked as a Registered Nurse in Dallas and Austin.  While working as a Nurse, she continued her education at the University of Texas at Austin and received a Biology degree in 1988.  In 1991 Dr. Garza was awarded a Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. 

 

In her dental community, she is involved in the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, Hispanic Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society and several dental study clubs. Her passion for gentle dentistry is what makes patients follow her from different parts of Texas.  Dr. Garza is very involved in the community and belongs to many organizations from the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, Archdiocese Hope for the Future and Pastoral Council member of her Church.

 

Dr. Alma is married to Attorney Francisco Garza, and is the proud mother of four children. As a Psychologist, her oldest daughter, Antoinette graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University and received her Masters from The University of North Texas.  She owns a practice in Dallas and is married to Fire Fighter Joseph. Together, they have 2 children, Alivia 10 and Jojo 7.   Her son Frank graduated from UT Austin and is a 5th grade math teacher.   Elissa, also graduated from UT Austin and works in Marketing and Advertising.  Her youngest son, Nicholas, now attends Texas Tech University in Lubbock. 

 

Dr. Garza enjoys working in her yard, painting and sewing, recently sewing many masks for her friends and family due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.  Because of her recent increase in arthritis, she has slowed down in her practice to concentrate on her health and has welcomed new associates to help with her wonderful patients.  Dr. Garza has recently found a new love for dogs and especially rescue dogs.
